dignitas and SK have qualified for DreamHack Open Leipzig after defeating HellRaisers and FlipSid3 in the Closed Qualifier, respectively.
The DreamHack Open Leipzig qualifiers, intended to give the two final spots to the eight-team, $100,000 event, hit their closed stage yesterday after 505 teams had taken part in an open qualifier.
With known teams such as ENCE, Vexed, and E-frag.net falling in the round-of-eight, the two best-of-three semifinals which would decide the two winners featured a match-up between dignitas and HellRaisers and SK and FlipSid3.

The first match to finish was the former one as Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný and his HellRaisers team could not capitalise from yesterday's successful qualification bid for the PGL EU Minor and ended up dropping to dignitas.
The Danish-Norwegian team took de_cbble with a score of 16-10 after an impeccable CT defense on the map and then narrowly edged out HellRaisers on de_overpass with a 16-14 scoreline.

The second match of the Closed Qualifier started in a more mundane fashion with Jacob "Pimp" Winneche & co. of SK annihilating FlipSid3 on de_overpass (FlipSid3's map pick) with a 16-3 score.
SK's pick of de_mirage was a much tenser affair as the game went into overtime and the Ukrainian FlipSid3 outfit took the map 21-18 off of the back of Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin's AWPing.
de_train was yet another overtime brawl by the map's end, but it was SK's revenge this time around as the Danish team won the map 21-16.
